Lindsey & Dom's wedding was a big deal. I had been referred by another CT Wedding Photographer, Tony Spinelli, to photograph his brother's wedding so the pressure was on. After meeting Lindsey & Dom and learning about their down-to-earth style, I knew this was going to be a wedding to remember. They had the whole family involved with a role for each of the 7 nieces & nephews, and all of the details carefully created by their families. Just look at the photos and you'll see why The Webb Barn has quickly become one of my favorite wedding locations. There is an abundance of locations to shoot in and around the Barn and we captured them all! Congrats Lindsey & Dom!

After meeting Jon, a professional triathlete, through my commercial photography work last summer, I was so psyched when he asked me about photographing his wedding. I got to meet Amber during their engagement shoot in Stony Creek last fall and saw immediately how Jon's devotion and Amber's sweetness made for a perfect match. Nothing could have gotten in the way of this couple's wedding day. They had a beautiful day in one of my favorite wedding venues to photograph in Connecticut. Amber and Jon were full of smiles. What a perfect day Amber & Jon had and I couldn't be more excited to share their photos.

Emily & Jim Engagement - Harkness State Park

Emily & Jim, with their wedding date set in December, were excited for their engagement shoot at Harkness Park. But the weather that day wasn’t looking great. The day of the shoot, we kept going back and forth about cancelling or not when I checked my voicemail one last time and it was Emily saying, “We’re on our way.” And I’m so happy we went for it. The fog created such a dramatic photo shoot, and with it, some of my favorite engagement photos! Can't wait for the wedding!

FLORIDA 36th State to Legalize Gay Marraige

Last year I had the honor of photographing two gay marriages, Jenna & Betsy and Manny & Mo. I absolutely loved photographing both of these weddings! Of course, the fact that all four of these ladies are beautiful, fun, and down to earth is what made the whole experience a pleasure.

It is crazy to think that just over 10 years ago neither of these two couples could have exercised this civil right, a right that is so deeply rooted in our hearts and identity. Thankfully, progressive states have taken the lead and others are following (FL legalized gay marriage yesterday - Jan 6th, 2015, becoming the 36th state).

I hope to have the honor of photographing several more gay marriages in 2015, maybe even one in FLA during its inaugural legal year.
